Don't get me wrong - The times when it all flows smoothly are wonderful too, I Just don't underestimate the Value of hard times and the off times. It is at this time I grow the most.
The Following Steps are helpful little tips that will help you get back on track – pick all of them or just the ones that FEEL RIGHT FOR YOU!
THE FIRST STEP:
Is to pick yourself up, dust yourself off, and MOST IMPORTANTLY - FORGIVE YOURSELF!! The only way you can begin a new positive behavior is to BEGIN FROM A CLEAN SLATE so give yourself permission to START OVER – It is helpful to say a mantra of – I Forgive myself, I Love myself - and really start fresh!!
SECOND STEP: Show Appreciation:
Sounds simple – BUT IS TRULY SO VERY PROFOUND. If you make a daily habit of sitting for just a few minutes a day to write a list of all the things you appreciate and are grateful for, in a month’s time you will expand your vibrational frequency and deepen your spiritual understanding of the preciousness of life in the Here and Now.
THE THIRD STEP:
Pray or state your intention to stay on your path so you can learn more and to grow more - that alone will keep you connected – and TRUST that in those simple steps you can re-align yourself with your growth and spiritual practice.
THE FOURTH STEP: Keep a Journal:
You can keep a journal where you communicate with whatever you consider to be most sacred. Whether you want to engage in a dialogue with God, ask questions of your Higher Self, request help from your Angels, Guides or simply to give thanks to the Divine Source, a journal grounds you in the physical act of paying homage to Spirit.
THE FIFTH STEP:
Stand in front of your Spiritual books - ask your Guides to show you the book that is meant for you right now and then ask them to show you TRUTH in what you need to learn.
Whatever book you are guided to - is the book you are meant to read or possibly even re-read.
Let this book be a catalyst for you to begin a new journey - grow more - change more and once you get into the new journey with this book pick ONE TOOL and apply it for 30 days – 30 days is the approximate average of how long it takes for something to become a habit.
Choose only one {1} tool - don’t be in such a rush to utilize all the tools at once – (To be honest with you - I think this is one of the reasons I fall off because I want to make it all happen now and I get all jumbled up) SO instead of trying to do ALL at once be kind and patient with yourself and work on one tool at a time.

Treasures To Be Thankful For

A man was exploring caves by the seashore. In one of the caves he found a canvas bag with a bunch of hardened clay balls. It was like someone had rolled clay balls and left them out in the sun to bake.
They didn't look like much, but they intrigued the man, so he took the bag out of the cave with him. As he strolled along the beach, he would throw the clay balls one at a time out into the ocean as far as he could.
He thought little about it, until he dropped one of the clay balls and it cracked open on a rock. Inside was a beautiful, precious stone!
Excited, the man started breaking open the remaining clay balls. Each held a similar treasure. He found thousands of dollars’ worth of jewels in the 20 or so clay balls he had left. Then it struck him.
He had been on the beach a long time. He had thrown maybe 50 or 60 of the clay balls with their hidden treasure into the ocean waves. Instead of thousands of dollars in treasure, he could have taken home tens of thousands, but he had just thrown it away!
It's like that with people. We look at someone, maybe even ourselves, and we see the external clay vessel. It doesn't look like much from the outside. It isn't always beautiful or sparkling, so we discount it. We see that person as less important than someone more beautiful or stylish or well known or wealthy. But we have not taken the time to find the treasure hidden inside that person.
There is a treasure in each and every one of us. If we take the time to get to know that person, and if we ask God to show us that person the way He sees them, then the clay begins to peel away and the brilliant gem begins to shine forth.
May we not come to the end of our lives and find out that we have thrown away a fortune in friendships because the gems were hidden in bits of clay. May we see the people in our world as God sees them.
